This weekend we had an opportunity to document a local church as they performed community service projects.  These are some of the kids that we encountered...

I have been stuck in a photography funk.  Photography has become more of a job than a passion.  I've just been going through the motions, taking the same 'ole shots, editing in the same 'ole style, and not putting my all into it.

After a photo shoot last week, I knew I needed some inspiration.  I asked several friends what photography sites/blogs they followed closely.  I received several new resources.  I studied these other photographers lighting, textures, compositions, and processing.  There are some awesomely talented photographers out there!

I not completely where I feel I want to be, but it's coming back.  As soon as the weather starts cooperating I will practice some of the other things I want to really work on, like lighting, textures and composition.  In the mean time, I've been studying and learning more of Photoshop to better process my images.  These aren't by any means my absolute favorites and I feel there are still flaws in these edits, but it's a step in the right direction.
